About F&C Marine
Marine Electronics Support for Fishing and Commercial Vessels
Independent marine electronics supply, repair, testing, installation and technical support for fishing vessels, commercial operators and vessel agents across the East Coast of England.
The Story Behind F&C Marine
F&C Marine was started after years working in marine electronics as a service engineer, installation engineer and marine electronics engineer. After leaving employed roles and facing the choice of relocating for work or building something independently, F&C Marine began as a small side project.
Over time, repeat customers, vessel operators and marine contacts continued to return for practical support, repairs, equipment supply and advice. What started as a side project developed into a specialist marine electronics business focused on helping vessel operators keep equipment working reliably and cost-effectively.

15–20 Years of Practical Marine Electronics Experience
F&C Marine is built around hands-on experience gained across fishing vessels, commercial shipping, offshore vessels and port-based marine operations.
This work includes marine electronics repairs, fault diagnosis, onboard testing, installations, communications systems, radar equipment, AIS systems, antennas, NMEA networking and general vessel electronics support.
Who F&C Marine Supports
F&C Marine works mainly with fishing vessel owners, commercial vessel operators and vessel agents who need practical marine electronics support. Customers usually contact F&C Marine for repairs to older equipment, replacement equipment supply, testing, fault diagnosis and advice before purchasing or replacing systems.

Installation, Service and System Integration
F&C Marine supplies, installs and supports marine electronics systems including AIS transponders, VHF radios, radar equipment, antenna systems, NMEA networks and marine communications equipment.
Installation work is approached from a practical vessel-operations perspective, with attention to reliability, cable routing, equipment compatibility and long-term serviceability.

Repair Before Replace
Not every marine electronics fault requires a new unit. A key part of F&C Marine's work is helping customers understand whether existing equipment can be tested, repaired or returned to service economically.
Where replacement is the better long-term option, customers receive clear advice based on the vessel, equipment condition, operating requirements and budget. The aim is always a practical solution rather than unnecessary expense.
Marine Electronics Systems Supported
F&C Marine supports a broad range of marine electronics equipment, from older systems requiring repair through to new equipment supply, installation and commissioning.
AIS transponders, receivers, antennas, splitters and range issues.
VHF RadioMarine VHF faults, testing, replacement and installation support.
Radar SystemsRadar installation, servicing, replacement and fault diagnosis.
Marine AntennasVHF, AIS, UHF, GPS and communications antenna systems.
NMEA NetworkingNMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 and vessel electronics integration.
RF DiagnosticsSWR testing, antenna checks, cable loss and RF fault finding.
Supporting Vessel Operators Across The East Coast
F&C Marine primarily supports vessels operating along the East Coast of England, from Newcastle down to Grimsby.
Regular areas include Newcastle, North Shields, Blyth, Hartlepool, Whitby, Scarborough, Hull and Grimsby.
Work further afield is considered where the project, vessel requirements and logistics make practical sense.

Equipment Supply and Technical Advice
Selecting suitable marine electronics equipment can be as important as the installation itself. F&C Marine helps vessel owners and operators choose AIS systems, VHF radios, antennas, radar equipment and marine communications solutions based on vessel type, operational requirements and budget.
Advice is backed by practical installation, service and fault-finding experience rather than catalogue specifications alone.
Testing, Verification and Ongoing Support
Marine electronics systems should be tested, verified and maintained to ensure reliable operation when it matters most.
F&C Marine provides commissioning support, antenna testing, AIS performance checks, RF diagnostics and practical technical assistance to help vessel operators maintain dependable communications and navigation systems.
