Radar system compatibility
Radar components should be matched to the exact scanner, transceiver, display and system generation in use. Before ordering a replacement or retrofit part, check the model reference, connector and cable arrangement, power requirements and any scanner/display compatibility. Existing magnetron, cable and interface condition may also need assessment on older systems.
For radar replacement work, confirm the scanner and display family as well as cable length, connector condition and power arrangements. Model suffixes and system generation matter, particularly where older scanners, magnetron transmitters or interface units are involved.
Ordering and support
When requesting a compatibility check, provide the model and part number from the existing equipment together with photographs of labels, connectors and the surrounding installation where possible. This is particularly useful on older or discontinued marine electronics where several hardware revisions may share a similar product name. F&C Marine can use that information to help identify the correct replacement, accessory or installation approach.
