Lars Thrane LT-4100S GMDSS Certus 100
The LT-4100S is a MED / Wheelmark approved Iridium Certus 100 GMDSS satellite communications system for professional and SOLAS vessel applications. It combines mandatory distress and safety communications with everyday voice and IP data connectivity over the Iridium network.

GMDSS and safety equipment checks
For safety and GMDSS equipment, the exact model, approval status, battery or release arrangement, mounting bracket and vessel requirements should be checked before ordering. Some equipment also requires programming with vessel identity information or periodic service items, so the intended flag, installation and service condition should be confirmed as part of the job.
Safety equipment should be installed and maintained in accordance with the vessel's applicable carriage requirements and the manufacturer's instructions. Programming, registration, batteries and release mechanisms should be treated as separate checks where they apply to the product.
