Mounting compatibility
Marine antenna mounts and thread adaptors must be matched mechanically as well as electrically to the intended antenna installation. Check the antenna thread, mount thread, fixing method, available deck or mast space and the route for the coaxial cable. Where an adaptor is used, confirm both the male and female thread standards before ordering.
Antenna performance depends on the complete installation, not only the antenna or mount. Cable condition, connector termination, the mounting arrangement where applicable, antenna separation and physical location should be checked as part of the installation.
