Radio configuration and installation
Check the required frequency band, channel plan, licensing or programming requirements, power or charging arrangement and accessory compatibility before ordering. Marine VHF/DSC and professional two-way radios can also have installation or regulatory requirements that depend on the vessel, operating area and intended use.
For programmed radio equipment, frequencies and channel settings should be confirmed before commissioning. Accessories should be matched to the exact radio family and connector; hazardous-area or GMDSS use may impose additional approval or battery requirements.
